Pretoria Domestic Worker Leaves Job After 30 Years When She Wins R70 million. A lady in Pretoria who has been working as a domestic worker for over 30 years has resigned from her occupation.
A lady in Pretoria who has been working as a domestic worker for over 30 years has resigned from her occupation. The lady resigned after she won about R70 million from the Powerball plus draw. The winner got her winning ticket from a Shell Garage, she only used R7.50 for her winning ticket.
The woman told Ithuba that she thought that only got four numbers. When she told her boss that she only got four numbers right, the woman was assured that she won the jackpot of 5 September 2019. She thus sped over to the petrol station where the cashier working there told her to write her Identity number and her name on the back of the ticket. She was then told to go to the Ithuba office to get her money.
Before the ticket, the woman was suffering with debt as she was the primary provider in her home. She says that the night before the drawing of the numbers, she inserted her ticket in a Bible that she was offered by a friend of her, she then prayed to God to give her an emblem that all her worries would be gone. She went on to say that she then had a hard time sleeping, then at 3am she prayed that her and her family get good fortunes. She has already stopped working as a domestic worker.
She aims to use the money to revamp her family house that she lives in along with her brother, daughter and grandchild. She also aims to assist her daughter with her tertiary fees in order for her to be the first in the family to have a qualification. She also plans to buy a smartphone, a five bedroom house in one of Pretoria’s suburbs and she also hopes to take her family to Cape town for a holiday. She supposedly says that she will go on playing the lottery, she also wants to maintain her winning Lotto ticket in the bible in order to thank God for her luck.
