The president seemed to not know that he was probably live. He was supposed to speak about the current issues in the country.
However, the part of his recording that was meant to be on national television was not the correct one. The president thought that he could have the part that he messed up edited when he made a mistake. He could be heard telling the camera person that he made mistake so he wanted to start again. Tweeps reacted in frustration to the way President Cyril Ramaphosa acted.

The SABC has apologised to the president for releasing the wrong edit, they have also promised to look into this matter.
