There are 29 Africans on the  richest people 2016 list. This list includes those who earn above 1 billion dollars.  The South African mining magnet Desmond Sacco and the Moroccan business man Anas Sefrioui have not made the cut, but this year saw the inclusion of new people.

Africa's Richest People 2016 List

This includes the Tanzanian Mohamed Dewji (39 years) who is involved in textile and the Nigerian Femi Otedola (50 years) who runs the company Fort oil. The list includes two women Folorunsho Alakija (Nigeria) and Isabel dos Santos (Angola)The list has 7 south Africans, 5 Nigerians, 8 Egyptians, 3 Moroccans. The list is dominated by english speaking people.

1) Aliko Dangote: 15,7 milliards de dollars (Nigeria)

2) Johann Rupert et famille: 7,4 milliards de dollars (Afrique du Sud)

3) Nicky Oppenheimer et famille : 6,7 milliards de dollars (Afrique du Sud)

4) Christoffel Wiese:  $ 6,3 billion (South Africa)

5) Nassef Sawiris: $ 6,3 Billion  (Egypt)

6) Mike Adenuga: $ 4 Billion (Nigeria)

7) Mohamed Mansour: $ 4 Billion (Egypt)

8) Nathan Kirsh: $ 3, 9 Billion (Swaziland)

9) Isabel Dos Santos: $ 3,1 Billion (Angola)

10) Issad Rebrab: $ 3,1 Billion (Algérie)

11) Naguib Sawiris: $ 3,1 Billion (Egypte)

12) Youssef Mansour: $ 2,9 Billion (Egypte)

13) Koos Bekker: $ 2,3 Billion (South Africa)
