A woman posted a thread on why her crush ditched her two days before they were supposed to meet. The woman says at the time she had already bought a ticket to go see him in his hometown. “5 years ago I had a crush on a boy. Everything was going well, I even bought ticket to go see him in Calabar from Lagos. We had a plan, two days to go,” says the woman.
The woman then says the man called her to tell that she shouldn’t come because he has a girlfriend. The woman says, “He calls me & says he has a girlfriend & I shouldn’t come.” The man also sent R1983 (50K Nairas) and then stopped taking the woman’s calls. She said that she then left him alone and moved on with her life. She said that he would then tell her that he was in Lagos when he was out of the country, he was avoiding her.
“So I stopped trying to reach him and moved on. He would come into Lagos and wait until he was at the airport leaving the country before letting me know. It didn’t take too long to know he was avoiding me,” says the woman. The woman then just asked him why he doesn’t want to meet with her. The man’s answer was an answer that the woman was used to but not other people. She posted screenshots of their conversation.
The woman says, “Thought you were actually into me.” The man replied by saying he has always been into her. The woman then went on to ask him what changed between the both of them. “I dunno (don’t know). I don’t trust you,” says the man. The woman then asked if she’s too pretty for him, the man agreed. The woman says, “Being attractive is hard. I’ve been single for years…everyone thinks I’m too pretty…”
