Tweeps Say What They Want From The New Ministers #DearMinisterOf. President Cyril Ramaphosa has recently told people the members of parliament that are going to be part of his new cabinet.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has recently told people the members of parliament that are going to be part of his new cabinet. The president has reduced the number of cabinet members but increased the number of deputy ministers. The tweeps told the ministers what they need from them as they are in office.

The tweeps used the hashtag #DearMinisterOf. One tweep asks the minister of education to include the TshiTsonga language as a curriculum in multiracial schools. One tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf Education can you please apply Tsonga Language to white schools same as black kids are forced to learn Afrikaans.” One tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf transport @MbalulaFikile for your first task may you please start removing all non-complaint (non-compliant) (not road worthy) taxis. We need a safe public transport system for our people.”

One tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf health, can you deal with those nurses who ask us what’s wrong with us in front of other patients and judge us…” One tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf police, the SAPS members need to be given all the support they need and also undergo regular intensive training. SA cannot be held randsome by criminals. They should be dealt with decisively. Police visibility is what we want to see not hear about it.”

One tweep was concerned about the mental health of other children in schools. The tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf Social Development could you please work with your colleague Minister of Education to place councellors in schools. Our kids are dealing with so much they are not coping…” One of the tweeps says the minister of finance, Tito Mboweni, must do what he wanted the former ministers of finance to do about radical economic transformation. The tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf finance. Remember when you were unemployed? that time mabuza took you serious? you wrote this tweet unprovoked.”

One tweep says the minister of education should remove Shakespeare novels and plays. The tweep says, “#DearMinisterOf EDUCATION…please do away with aboMacbeth, Hamlet, RomeoJuliet and Othello, we No longer leave (live) in those ages and are doing away with colonialism. We need more local content that deals with modern issues that trigger critical thinking.”
