At 07H26 Friday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of pedestrian vehicle collision on Simon Bekker Drive in Rangeview Krugersdorp.
Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle struck down a minor female while she was walking across the road.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that the patient had sustained critical injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise her.
Due to the nature of the child’s injuries the Netcare 2 specialised helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to hospital for further treatment.
