Khanyi has been under fire since yesterday (Wednesday) for a picture she recently posted on social media. The photo was of her posing in front of her yellow Porsche car. The actress captioned the picture “Just a casual urban safari look.” Khanyi has been in the news for apparently using skin lightening products on her skin. Tweeps went in and mocked Khanyi for her recent photo.
One tweep compared the actress to a white person, the tweep even gave her an Afrikaner surname. The tweep says, “…hear comes own black sister…Khanyi Van Botha…I think she should start attending AgriSA n (and) Afriforum meetings n [and] Tell them we still want our land.” One tweep says Khanyi is neither black nor white. “No longer black. No longer white. Khanyi is a whole new race. What is Khanyi,” says the tweep.
One tweep says, “So Khanyi mbau and mshoza dreamt of being whites when they grew up…” Some tweeps stood up for Khanyi Mbau. One tweep says the actress can do whatever she wants to do with her money. The tweep says, “Khanyi can do as she Pleases. It’s her own money and her own Body. Y’all did not contribute a cent so please keep your Opinion to yourself and let Moghel Be.”

Period.” Khanyi acknowledges that she is using skin lightening products. She says that she sometimes tends to use too much of the skin lightening products.
