Dutywa man arrested for murdering his brother

Dutywa Police arrested a 42-year-old man for alleged murder of his younger brother aged 28. It is alleged that the two brothers had a quarrel on Saturday, 09 March 2019 at about 21h50 at their home, Munyu Village, Dutywa.

The suspect drew his knife and fatally stabbed his younger brother. The deceased suffered upper body injuries. The motive is not yet clear however police investigation continues. Once the murder was reported to Dutywa Police, the suspect was arrested.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 11 March 2019. The identity of the deceased will be released once all the relatives of the family are officially informed about his murder.
